Accademia Liberty Apartment
Large apartment only a stone's throw from the Accademia Bridge
A large and bright apartment built in the 1930s near the Accademia Bridge, in the Dorsoduro district.
This house preserves the atmosphere of the great family who originally lived in it. It hosts some of the sculptural works of an ancestral family member, who is quite famous in Venice for his statue of Carlo Goldoni at the foot of the Rialto Bridge. The house also presents precious vintage posters of Venetian museums and of the Lion of Saint Mark, recalling the work of its last inhabitant, who was an archaeologist. Some of the furniture was designed by her great-grandfather, bringing to an elegant eclectic mix of Art Nouveau, style of the 1970s, and Japanese art. Finally, the house also holds many books and music related items testifying the interests and passions of the family that once lived there.
The apartment has a large living room, with comfortable sofas and armchairs on one side and a dining area with a table for 6 on the other. There are 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom, 1 bathroom with bathtub, and a fully equipped kitchen beside an informal breakfast room with a smaller table with seating. A spacious closet provides a comfortable room in which to store luggage.
The apartment is fully furnished with precious antique wood furniture and has both a classic and warm family atmosphere. The many windows bring a lot of light in the entire house and overlook the wide street below.
The house is located in one of the most elegant areas of the city, the Dorsoduro district, and is a stone’s throw from some of the city’s biggest museums: the Gallerie dell’Accademia, the Guggenheim Museum, the Cini Gallery, and Punta della Dogana. Crossing the Accademia Bridge, you will be able to reach Piazza San Marco and Rialto with a 15-minute walk.
Near the house you can find many restaurants, cafes, and a conveniently close supermarket.
The closest waterbus stop is Accademia for easy and quick connections to all main attractions. You can find the Alilaguna boat service (Red Line and Blue Line) for the Marco Polo Airport at the Zattere waterbus stop.
